Fairmont Dollars for Scholars is an investment in our greatest resource--our youth!

Students who receive scholarships are more likely to attend and graduate from college. The purpose of our chapter is to raise funds for college scholarships for Fairmont (Minnesota) High School graduates who apply. We seek funds so we can offer more and larger scholarships to help students and parents meet the rising costs of a college education. Fairmont has many talented graduates who would benefit from a Dollars for Scholars scholarship.

Fairmont Dollars for Scholars® is a locally operated and supported, tax-exempt foundation which has been a member of Scholarship America® since 1974. Scholarship America continues to receive A+ rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy's Charity Watch. Our board is made up of people from the Fairmont community who volunteer their time.

Our scholarship cycle begins January 1, and all applications are due April 1 of each year. Scholarships are announced at our annual awards night which is the fourth Wednesday of May. Our scholarships range from one-year to awards renewable for four years.
